What is Rueda?
Rueda de Casino started in Cuba in the mid 20th century. It is the root of what you can see danced around the world today. Rueda (as it is commonly called in Cuba) is a form of Casino dance. It's danced by a group of 2 or more couples in a circle and the dancers change partners when one person calls out the dance moves ("Rueda" is Spanish for “Wheel”, and “Casino” refers to the social clubs where Cubans danced Rueda de Casino. Some of the moves are very playful, so you find yourself laughing, dancing, and anticipating the next call, all at the same time.
Come learn to change partners, stomp, shout & clap while dancing to great Salsa music.
