 ABOUT US...

Experienced instructors at My World Dance and Fitness in Seattle, Washington, teach dance classes for children and adults. In May of 2008, we opened our doors to children as young as three years old. We offer a variety of classes to include jazz, tap, ballet.

Adults will find salsa, belly dancing, and funk aerobics. Fees are very affordable and classes are fun for the whole family. Offering a clean and energetic atmosphere, our studio features a wall of mirrors to watch your progress, in addition to a great sound system to keep you moving.

Maria Rico I was born in Colombia and raised in la Capital Musical De Colombia, Ibague, which is well know by Colombians as the center of Colombian music and folklore. I was 7 year's old when I started dancing traditional rhythms as sanjuaneros, bambucos, cumbias and mapales. In my class you will enjoy salsa, merengue, reggaeton, cumbias, vallenatos and bellydance. I look forward to meeting all of you! 

 

Seong Yoon Lee  is a former Korean Zen Buddhist monk and has studied 
yoga in many different traditions in many different countries such as India,Tibet, China, Korea, USA, and Thailand. He opened his first yoga studio in South Korea in 2002. His studio and teaching methods were featured on a Korean National TV documentary about stress. With the success of his first yoga studio, Yoon opened his second school in 2004. He has led yoga retreats both nationally and internationally. He has taught yoga to over 5,000 students over the course of ten years and brings his experience in the monastery to his teaching. Hatha Yoga with Yoon starts on Saturday, January 31 at 7 p.m.

Emily Fansler began dancing at age
fifteen with Midwest Regional 
Ballet in Joplin, MO, under the direction of Kaye Lewis. Trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and partnering. She was accepted into the dance program at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2003, where she trained in jazz, and modern dance for two years. She furthered her knowledge of pointe and beginning Latin ballroom dancing at an International Dance Studio.  In 2005 continued study with Midwest Regional Ballet until 2007 and then set her mind on choreographing and instructing. She opened Dance Hues Studio in 2009 with seven students, and by 2012 had over 130. We are excited she moved to Seattle from AZ. Adult Hip Hop with Emily starts Wednesday, February 4, at 7:15 p.m.

MY WORLD PAYS TRIBUTE TO AFRICAN AMERICAN DANCERS, PAST AND PRESENT. 

Storytelling, poetry, dance performance with history and West African dance and drumming. There will be African American books, beauty products, food and wine!

My World will be closed:

Not too late to register for our Children's Winter Dance Session.
